I started with a $59 singing, dancing Santa from Wal-Mart. I wanted to create a Pirate for a scene with a number of skeletons and a treasure chest. I was inspired by Bob Andrews work at making a Pirate from his Santa. I elected to have two options, the replace the head option that Bob used, and the use the existing head. I've also done others replacing the head completely with a hacked talking Douglas Fir Tree creating a monster and a Wolfman. Josh McCormick has a great web page dedicated to hacking this prop..
